ONE WEEK CAMP
Build confidence, make new friends, stay active and have FUN at PRG’s Discovery Camp! Each day, kids learn technical climbing and climbing safety skills through instruction provided by expert PRG staff. Rock climbing along with other camp activities such as teambuilding elements, sports challenges, field trips, yoga, and arts and crafts provide kids with even more opportunities to develop and practice leadership, communication & creative thinking skills. Discovery Camp is designed for all levels of climbers – no prior experience is necessary!

CAMP REAL ROCK
ONE WEEK CAMP (4 days indoors + 1 day outdoor)
Recommended for kids ages 8 to 15
Previously named Camp Livesy, experience the best of both climbing worlds in Camp Real Rock! Climb for 4 days indoors with PRG’s Discovery Camp and then take your newly learned skills outdoors to the local crag under the expert guidance of PRG Camp & Guide Staff. Camp RR is designed for all levels of climbers – no prior experience is necessary. Reserve Your Spot Today!
*Primary local crag is Livesy Rock in Wissahickon Park, Philadelphia. Climbers may go to Ralph Stover depending on attendance #’s and restrictions in the public area

NEW RIVER GORGE, WV Youth Expedition Trip
ONE WEEK CAMP
Recommended for kids aged 9 to 15
Our New River Rock Trip is a great introduction to outdoor rock climbing, hiking and camping for young climbers. Located in Fayetteville, WV, the New River Gorge is one of the best climbing areas in the East Coast! With over 3000 routes to choose from, the New has the greatest variety of routes, for all skill levels, of any climbing area in the country. Skills covered include: top rope climbing, basic rappelling, knot tying and basic rope skills, leave no trace hiking and camping ethics, and general outdoor climbing safety.
Climbers will also, of course, have a chance to test their climbing skills on real rock, learning improved technique and a repertoire of moves that will improve their overall ability and confidence as climbers.
*This trip has pre-requisites: Involvement in PRG Youth Programs, Adequate climbing experience &/or PRG Top Rope Certification is required.

How Do I Reserve A Spot?
All Summer Camp registrations require a $100 deposit at the time of registration. You may opt to pay in full at the time of registration. Per Diem camps (June 28-July 9, 2020) must be paid in full at the time of registration. Any remaining balance is due prior to your child’s first day of camp. PRG Summer Camp registration can be done online or by phone at 877-822-ROPE.

Do I Need My Own Equipment?
The PRG will provide climbing equipment free of charge for all camps. Camps that include overnight portions, such as the NRG Expedition will have required camping equipment (such as sleeping bags, flashlights, etc.)

What About Food, Lunch, Etc.?
At our PRG Day Camp kids bring their own lunches. For further questions, or if your child has special dietary requirements, please e-mail kids@philarockgym.com.
For our NRG Expedition, meals are provided for climbers during the trip. Please inform the PRG Camp counselor of any dietary requirements.

Does My Child Need Experience?
No. Our Discovery Camp and Real Rock Camps require no prior climbing experience whatsoever!

Can I Switch Camp Dates?
Prior to June 1, if you wish to apply your deposit to a different camp date, every effort will be made to accommodate at no additional cost. Please note: since each camp has a limited number of available spots, we cannot guarantee availability for a different date. After June 1, your deposit less, a $50 fee, may be applied to a different camp date, subject to availability. For more information, please see our cancellation policy.

Cancellation Policy?
Deposits for all camps are fully refundable up to May 1. Between May 1 and June 1, deposits are refundable less a $50 cancellation fee ($100 cancellation fee for all Expedition Camps). After June 1 all camp payments are NON REFUNDABLE.
