Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival is one of the largest and most prestigious mountain festivals in the world! Hot on the heels of the Festival that is held every fall in beautiful Banff, Alberta, the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour hits the road. With stops planned in roughly 550 communities and more than 40 countries across the globe, the Banff World Tour celebrates amazing achievements in outdoor storytelling and filmmaking worldwide!

From the over 400 entries submitted into the Festival each year, award-winners and audience favorites are among the films that are carefully selected to play in theatres around the world.

Traveling to remote vistas, analyzing topical environmental issues, and bringing audiences up-close and personal with adrenaline-packed action sports the 2021/2022 World Tour is an exhilarating and provocative exploration of the mountain world.

Banff Mountain Film Festival FAQ

  • What Covid-19 restrictions are in place?

    We will be monitoring the CDC, state and local government’s guidance and will be working closely with West Chester University for the latest and most up-to-date Covid-19 policies. WCU’s Covid-19 policies are as follows:

    • Masks are optional indoors.
    • No proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test is required for entry.
    • Please stay home if you test positive for Covid-19 or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive.

     

  • Are tickets refundable?

    All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.

  • Will tickets be available at the door?

    We will not be reserving any tickets for at-the-door sales. If tickets sell out in advance, there will be NO tickets available to purchase at the door.

  • I have a PRG gift card. Can I use this to purchase tickets online?

    Unfortunately, no. PRG gift cards are not compatible with our ticket sales software.

    To use your gift card to purchase Banff tickets, please call us to purchase tickets over the phone at 877.822.7673. We are happy to process that transaction for you.

  • Can we bring food or drink into the theater?

    No outside food or beverage is permitted in Emilie K. Asplundh Hall at West Chester University. Concessions will be sold before the show and during intermission that can be consumed in the lobby or outside. No food or drink are allowed in the theater.
